It’s a Life-Saver! We got a new roof hoping it would solve this old leakage this house had, but it didn’t. This gadget showed us precisely what was really going on behind closed walls. Plaster walls had to be cut into and the closet had to be reduced by 1ft in h n 1 in in W. This gadget shows where your walls are wet n moldy as well. I used it again just to check for moisture n the repairs are holding up. I would highly recommend it.

Essential for burning wood indoors! Ensure that your wood is well seasoned to prevent buildup in your flu of your fireplace(s). This will let you know the percentage of moisture in a piece of wood and reaffirms moisture level with 3 different color lights (dry, intermediate, wet). I test my wood on both ends and in the middle.

After my home flooded, I needed to check the moisture level in the walls and floors. Other units have two prongs coming out to record the measurement. You only have to lay this one against the surface for it to get the moisture level. Plus, having the different settings for wood, masonry, etc is very valuable.
